What is Four Pillar Analysis?
Four Pillar is the direct translation of the chinese term. The four pillars are formed by the basic birth information of a person, namely the Year, Month, Day and Time of birth. The ancient Chinese has a system of naming each year where they used a combination of 10 Heavenly Stems and 12 Earthly Branches. With a specific way of combining them, each year, month, day and bi-hour can be represented by a pair of combination. Since each pair of combination can represent an item, like a pair representing year, a pair representing month, a pair representing day and a pair representing bi-hour, each pair is also known as a pillar. Thus the name “Four Pillar?
Each Chinese character in the four pillar is actually assigned with a representation of an element (based on the Five Element and Yin Yang Theory). From the elements and representation, the master will then be able to determine the basic element of a person, what are the most favourable and most unfavourable elements. At the same time, with additional plotting of chart and other calculations, the master will also able to outline the personality of a person, the luck cycle, the good and bad years, the health status of different years, the problems that can happen, information on health, wealth, career, relationships, etc.
These predictions and analysis will then be used as a guide in providing some planning basis for the client.
